The MFA Library is a substantial scholarly resource covering musicological, folkloric, and anthropological topics related to the Hellenic world and the broader Balkans and Near East.
A significant portion of the collection (approximately 2,500 titles) has been cataloged in the OpenABEKT digital system.
Collection of Early Editions of Byzantine Music
One of the Library’s most important holdings is its collection of early printed editions of Byzantine music, dating from 1820 through the nineteenth century and into the early twentieth century.
