The Musical Folklore Archives house unique collections of audio recordings and printed materials that shed light on the evolution of Hellenic musical traditions from the late nineteenth century to the present. These audio collections are complemented by detailed manuscripts, research notes, and photographic documentation. The MFA’s record library includes traditional and urban popular music, Byzantine music and folk music, and constitutes a valuable resource for researchers, musicians and anyone interested in the history and evolution of Greek musical culture.
